Established in 2001, the Fast Track Program (FT) provides quality education for selected students at Phaung Daw Oo. The curriculum is taught entirely in English from kindergarten to Grade 8, with smaller class size to focus on each student’s learning.
In the 2019-2020 school year, the FT Program has 402 students, 28 teachers, and foreign volunteer teachers. Each class is limited to 25-35 students to optimize learning. Students enroll mostly at the kindergarten level.
The FT curriculum focuses on building the students’ critical thinking skills from an early age, and is supported with additional learning programs outside of the classroom. These include excursions, community service programs, and international competitions such as the Learning Across Borders science competition.

Activities & Events
My favorite part about Phaung Daw Oo is the Fast Track program, where I can learn critically and speak English freely […] There are also many opportunities to practice English with native speakers, and join international competitions.
